Butter Cookies ala Kristen:

Mix thoroughly 1 cup of soft butter, ½ cup sugar, 1 egg, and 2 tsp vanilla. Sift together 3 cups of flour, ½ tsp baking powder. Mix with butter mixture and chill dough for 2 hours. Roll dough thing and cut into desired shapes. Bake in 400 oven until delicately brown, around 5-7 minutes.

Decorative Icing:

1 cup of confectioner’s sugar, ¼ tsp salt, ½ tsp vanilla, and slowly add cream until desired consistency. Add food coloring if desired.
